This hand forged fire poker is intended for outdoor fire ring/pit use. The end is formed by folding the bar around, forge welding it back onto itself, then splitting the loop to create the point and hook. The handle is shaped for a more comfortable feel. The fire poker is made from 3/8″ square steel and is roughly 30 inches long.
The fire poker is coated in “Zack’s Wax” wax paste to prevent rust. Wax or oil should be reapplied every few years especially to the end.
